ANDROID-DEVELOPER COURSE TO BE INCLUDED IN TVET CURRICULUM
Google Android-Developer Training will be accredited and included in the TVET curriculum and incorporated into the Jitume Lab program currently being rolled out across the country.
This follows fruitful deliberations between the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) and Africa Centre for Advanced Technology (ACAT).
ACAT is a limited company registered in Kenya with a focus to promote awareness of new, emerging, and disruptive technologies and their applications and impact on the socio-economic context of society.
The TVET Google Training will be classified as an elective and a professional course. As an elective course, it will be examinable and count towards to the student’s graduation. The professional course option allows students to enroll and exclusively study Android development using Kotlin as the programming language.
Tutors for the course will be trained from the first week of June for two weeks at the Kenya School of TVET (KSTVET).
