Four Charged in Baby Pendo murder case
Four Senior ranking police officers have been charged in connection with the killing of 6 month old baby Samantha Pendo in Kisumu County in 2017.
The Director of Public prosecution approved charges ranging from murder,rape and torture against the four officers.
The four inspector John Chengo Masha, inspector Linah Kosgey, Robi Wankio and James Rono pleaded not guilty to one count of murder,11 counts of rape and 38 counts of torture respectively.Eight other officers who had initially been accused alongside the four have had their charges dropped.
The family of baby Pendo remain optimistic that justice will be served.The case will be mentioned on the 12th of May for further direction.
