KDF RECRUITMENT EXERCISE ENTERS DAY 2

Youth  in various parts of the country turned up in their numbers for the Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) recruitment exercise which kicked off Monday.  There was however a low turnout registered for women with out of 400 turned up in Garissa for the exercise for instance only four were women.

 In Lamu however, women who turned up were turned away.   Senior Recruiting Officer in charge of the Lamu Central Sub-County, Lieutenant Colonel Hamisi Msagha said in other stations of Lamu, including Mpeketoni and Faza, there will be the possibility of them recruiting ladies. In Kisii County KDF officials subjected potential recruits to various fitness exercises at Getembe Grounds.

 Vice Chief of Defense Forces Lieutenant General Jonah Mwangi while launching the exercise, warned Kenyans against engaging in corruption during the recruitment exercise.

The exercise will end on Friday 8 September 2023. Successful applicants will be issued with calling letters to commence basic military training at the Kenya Military Academy (KMA) in Nakuru for cadets, and the Recruits Training School (RTS) in Eldoret for recruits.
