KUTRRH ACREDITTED TO BECOME A TEACHING HOSP. FOR KU SCHOOL OF MEDICINE

The Kenyatta University Teaching , Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH) has been accredited to become a teaching hospital for the Kenyatta University School of Medicine.
The regulatory accreditation from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC), will be valid for a renewable three-year period, allowing the School of Medicine students from Kenyatta University access to the level 6 KUTRRH facility.
With the accreditation, students from KU will now join others from other institutions such as JKUAT, University of Nairobi, USIU, AMREF, Egerton, Moi, Mount Kenya, National Defense University, Nairobi Women’s College, and Mama Ngina University to further their skills at the hospital.
KUTRRH Chairperson Prof Olive Mugenda and Chief Executive Officer Mohamed Dagane welcomed the accreditation, saying it now positions the hospital as a medical center of excellence in sub-Sahara Africa.
