KICD TO INCLUDE CLIMATE CHANGE IN SCHOOL CURRICULUM
The Kenya institute of curriculum development has given the go ahead for the introduction of climate change and environment conservation as a practical subject in Kenyan schools.
The move will now see grade 3 to grade 12 learners learn about climate change solutions. Introduction of climate change in the curriculum will see Kenyan children understand at an early age the dynamics of climate change and possible solutions that can be adopted to avert serious impact.
The inclusion of climate change in the curriculum comes in the wake of the rising threat of climate change in the country with impacts often destroying lives and livelihoods.
