TVET’s PLAN TO INFUSE GREEN COURSES
The government is working on integrating green skills into the Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) curriculum.
Speaking while officiating the opening of capacity building of curricula development leads in green transition workshop Principal Secretary TVET Dr. Esther Mworia underscored the need for embedding green skills and climate awareness in the TVET curriculum in order to equip the youth for a sustainable future.

The workshop brought together experts from the TVET sector, Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, and Forestry, Kenya Association of Manufacturers, National Environment Management Authority, Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority and KENGEN and coordinated by East Africa Skills for Transformation and Regional Integration (EASTRIP) is focusing on integrating green skills into the TVET curriculum.
The holistic Government approach demonstrated at the event showed the commitment to ensure that green skills are embedded into the TVET curriculum to ensure that there is future sustainability of TVET graduates.
The workshop also highlighted key emerging sectors and opportunities in the green sector
