TVETS URGED TO ADOPT THE NEW CBET CURRICULAR
TVET Principal Secretary Esther Muoria has urged principals and trainers of Technical and vocation institutes to adopt and implement the modularized Competency Based Education and Training CBET curricular, noting the program’s success depends on the leadership tasked with its implementation.
The modularized CBET curricular allows trainees to complete defined skill set progressively, enabling both vertical and horizontal mobility within the labour market.
Mworia said the various institutions’ leadership should take the programme seriously for transformational training, and the school administration should provide guidance to trainers and ensure compliance with the framework.
Muoria made the remarks during a meeting with TVET principals and trainers at Kericho National Polytechnic.
