Kenya Airways has increased its flights to Kisumu over the weekend ahead of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s burial ceremony. In a statement on X, the national carrier said the move was taken to accommodate the high travel demand following a surge in bookings. After a State funeral held at Nyayo National stadium in Nairobi and a public viewing of his body by Kenyans Friday, activity will now shift to Kisumu and Siaya as the final moments near , as Kenyans prepare to lay to rest one of Kenya’s greatest sons who has been celebrated for his contribution to Kenya’s multiparty democracy, freedoms and rights enjoyed in modern day Kenya.
