TWO ARRESTED WITH ELEPHANT TUSKS IN BUNGOMA

Two suspects are in custody at Cheptais Police Station in Bungoma County after being arrested for transporting two elephant tusks.

The suspects were ferrying the tusks concealed in a blue sack on a motorcycle at Cheptais Kipsis Junction and were apprehended through the collaboration of police officers and Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) officers from Kitale, Trans Nzoia County.  

The National Police Service has reaffirmed its commitment to working with relevant agencies to protect Kenya’s wildlife and natural heritage.
