Mwala Technical and Vocational College has received a KSh 5 million boost toward the purchase of a school bus to improve student mobility and support training activities at the institution.
The funds were handed over by Mwala Member of Parliament Vincent Musyoka Kawaya, who said the support will help enhance learning opportunities for students by easing transport challenges faced during academic and practical training programmes.
According to the MP, the donation will enable the college to acquire a bus that will support student movement for educational activities, including field learning, academic trips, and other institutional programmes.
The new bus is expected to play an important role in strengthening training at the college by allowing students to access learning opportunities beyond the classroom.

Supporting TVET Growth
Technical and Vocational Education and Training institutions continue to play a key role in equipping young people with the practical skills required in the labour market.
Improved infrastructure and resources, including transport facilities, help institutions expand training opportunities and improve the overall learning experience for students.
At Mwala Technical and Vocational College, the bus will enhance mobility for both students and trainers, supporting outreach activities, industry exposure visits, and other practical learning experiences essential to technical training.
The initiative is expected to strengthen the institution’s ability to deliver quality vocational education while improving access to training opportunities for learners in the region.
