8TH DEVOLUTION CONFERENCE KICKS OFF
Eldoret town in Uasin Gishu County is hosting the 8th edition of the Devolution Conference.
President William Ruto officially opened the forum where he implored upon the devolved units to wean themselves from over-dependence on National Government revenue allocations.
President Ruto urged counties to step forward and explore innovative and flexible paths of revenues that do not constrict their frontiers of productive possibility.
He further noted that new revenue streams should broaden the devolved units’ horizons of transformation and uplift those at the bottom.
