CELEBRATION TIME! MUKURWE-INI TTI HOLDS INAUGURAL GRADUATION
Mukurwe-ni Technical Training Institute in Nyeri County has released its first batch of 830 graduates into the job market. On Friday, May 19, 2023, the institution held its inaugural graduation ceremony at the Gikondi campus.
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua who was the chief guest said the national government will continue funding institutions, which offer skills for students not only for self-employment but also to encourage entrepreneurship. This, he said will create jobs for others beyond the students, hence more impact on the community.
The Deputy President also promised the issue of delayed funding to the TVETs will be addressed as a matter of urgency. “I will engage the Cabinet Secretary for Treasury Professor Njuguna Ndung’u to agree on a framework of immediate release of capitation funds to the TVETs. This will help them to meet their obligations,” he said.
Mukurwe-ini Technical Training Institute was established in 2015 and offers courses in Electrical engineering, building and civil engineering, mechanical engineering, business, ICT, and agriculture.
